Tenant Information

Properties move very quickly these days. It's a good idea for you to understand the rental process before you start looking. To protect both tenant and landlord rights you will have to go through a series of checks, referencing and sign tenancy agreements. We will be available to guide you through the whole rental process.

To reserve a property a Holding Deposit the equivalent of 1 week’s rent is required to be paid to Go-Ahead Lettings by Bank Transfer, prior to taking up references. (The holding deposit is refundable).

At the commencement of a tenancy, a Deposit the equivalent of 5 weeks rent is required to be paid by Bank Transfer, along with the first month Rent.

Please note that the need for a Guarantor may not become apparent until we start referencing an applicant or joint applicants or until all references for an applicant or joint applicants has been received.

Rent is payable in advance on the tenancy start date and then monthly in advance.

You may be charged a fee of no more that 3% above the Bank of England’s base rate for each day the rent is overdue (this is chargeable once the rent has been overdue for 14 days past the agreed date).

A reasonable Fee for the replacement of a key or security device.

A reasonable Fee for changes to a tenancy.
